I've been anxiously anticipating the release of the "Girls of Blaze" sneaker collection lookbook from Puma ever since I discovered Solange Knowles was serving as the Creative Director.

A collective of New York artists including Darlene and Lizzy Okpo and Gerlan Marcel crafted the 4 wildly colorful sneaker designs, while Solange produced the vision for the brand.

That punch of bright, bold, technicolor is the perfect cure for my recent bout of winter blues; I'm already envisioning a few teal, marigold, and electric-blue pieces in my summer wardrobe...

The collection will be unveiled on Saturday, February 8th, 2014.

I've been following the work of Christine Young of Young Frankk since I discovered her S/S '13 collection last year. The above images from her most recent S/S '14 collection started floating around Pinterest yesterday and I knew I had to take a closer look. I really like the strong presence of geometric shapes and potential for layering multiple pieces without it looking too busy or distracting. Definitely adding this necklace and that ring to my wishlist...

When I stumbled upon this minimalist-styled Minneapolis apartment, I was a bit taken aback. It was as if my Pinterest inspiration and personal preferences had collided and the end result was Madelynn Furlong's home. What I love most about the overall aesthetic is that it looks and feels effortless—a carefully curated combination of wood, texture, and art, functionally styled with minimalism in mind. I really enjoy finding homes that bare a clean aesthetic yet seem well lived-in. Every corner of the apartment breathes, "come relax or be creative here" and that's exactly the kind of vibe I also want to create for our future home.

I discovered Bonobo while casually listening to iTunes Radio (which I highly recommend if you're seeking an alternative to Pandora.) Something about the track, "Cirrus" made me jump up and find out who was the behind the hypnotic, afro-futurish beat. Instrumentals have been steadily dominating my playlists lately and I'm glad I stumbled upon Bonobo to add him to the list. Born and raised in England, Simon Green, also known as, "Bonobo" is most known for his incredible talent of marrying melody with electronics, bass, and drums. His 2010 album, Black Sands, was widely praised and enabled him to tour the world with his live band. His recent sophomore album, The North Border, is a natural evolution and continuation of his electronic palette—thematic, coherent, and perfectly formed.

Happy Friday, folks! Around the start of the new year I made a small promise to myself to start celebrating holidays (no matter how cheesy or commercialized) in order to keep myself challenged with small creative projects, especially during the thick of winter when days tend to be more monotonous. I like the idea of skipping the stores and creating something handmade for the Mister, a friend, or something to re-use in our home.

Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner, I thought I'd share a few sweet celebration ideas that have been floating around the interwebs; creative and easy projects to help break up the mundane...

01. Valentine's Day Advent Calendar
02. DIY Heart Pillows
03. Printable Floral Valentines
