Evening walks around our Chicago neighborhood have prompted several "5-year-plan" discussions about what kind of lifestyle we want for our growing family, where we'd like to put down roots, and brainstorming a wish-list for our first home. I've always loved exploring interiors, and recently I've taken a liking to studying interior styling (with Scandinavian, German, and Australian aesthetics being my favorite.) I've been taking mental notes and pinning inspiration with the hope that we can one day come home to a space like this beautiful, airy, Melbourne flat sometime in the near future...

Can we all just pretend that today isn't the last Monday of the month and that autumn isn't right around the corner? August completely flew by. Which means that the hazy days of summer are slowly fading away and making room for a chillier fall temperatures - anyone else not ready?!

I've been meaning to whip up another mixtape for months now, but I think I put this one together right on time. It's my ode to summertime — a collection of feel-good tracks that will have you dancing, celebrating, and savoring these last few weeks of summer...

It's been a slow moving week, so I couldn't be happier that it's finally Friday! I'm finishing up a few projects before packing up and escaping the city for our much anticipated babymoon in Portland. Between school, work, and preparing for our little one, Daniel and I haven't had a vacation since Christmas! And this trip is particularly special as it will be the last one we take as just-the-two-of-us before baby arrives. We're looking forward to doing whatever our hearts desire — no concrete plans, no itineraries, no must-do's, just 10 glorious days of taking time to enjoy each other and savor the spontaneity of a relaxing trip before our lives embrace a welcomed change...

Things will be a bit quiet around here while I'm away, so feel free to check-in via instagram as I'll be sharing daily snapshots of our trip.

Enjoy the weekend!

I've been following the work of Breanna Musgrove of Scout & Catalogue for over a year now and have really admired the progression of her collections, especially her line of leather bags and totes. I've been on the hunt for a small wallet / coin purse and came across these beauties—I've got my eye on this one in particular.
